Blind Spot mixes a walking sim with an escape room. You wake up in the storeroom of the mansion you share with your father and younger sister, find the house changed, and start getting text messages from an unknown number. Across more than 20 rooms you solve over 20 puzzles, plus six optional secret ones, while piecing together a story about a family and a psychological disorder. It is aimed at solo players who like slow, story-led exploration.
Players are split down the middle, with 7 of 14 reviews positive. Fans praise the detailed visuals, the variety of puzzles and a story about loss and forgiveness told through object notes and texts. Several of them also admit the narrative is hard to piece together.
The negative reviews share the same complaints: very slow walking, hidden or hard-to-see hotspots, puzzles with no hints that feel like busywork, clumsy translation, and no manual saves or graphics options. One player hit repeated crashes at an early laser-and-mirror puzzle. Expect around five to eight hours. Only patient explorers should consider it, and preferably at a deep discount.
Pros

- Story of family loss unfolds through texts from an unknown number
- Six optional secret puzzles reward thorough searching
Cons
- Very slow walking speed drags out exploration
- Hidden hotspots and puzzles with no clue what to do
- No manual saves or graphics settings; some crash reports
About
In this game we combined the genre of walking sim and escape room. Waking up alone in the storeroom, the mansion you have been living in with your father and younger sister is somewhat different from what it used to be. A text message from a mysterious number makes you even more confused...
