Tiny Robots: Portal Escape is a family-friendly 3D escape-the-room puzzler from Big Loop Studios. You play Telly, a young robot chasing the gang that kidnapped his grandpa, through short diorama scenes full of hidden batteries, mechanical locks and hacking mini-games. An Arcade room adds hundreds of extra levels built from the same mini-games. It suits relaxed solo players and fans of the studio's Boxes and Doors series.
Steam reviews are positive (30 of 33). Players like the colourful robot worlds, the variety inside each scene, and the robot customisation. Most call it easy but not boring, with skip and hint buttons when you get stuck. One reviewer rated the escape rooms one star for difficulty and the arcade two.
The negative reviews say the main game is too simple, the batteries are not hidden very cleverly, and a couple of the arcade mini-game types get tedious. One player also reported bugs. Buy it if you want a cosy, low-stress puzzle game; skip it if you need a real challenge.
