Escape Room VR: Stories is a VR-only collection of three timed escape rooms, including a garage and a frat house, each tied together by a short narrated story. Rooms award one to three stars depending on how many secrets you uncover, which gives a reason to replay. It suits VR owners who want several bite-sized rooms with some narrative glue.
The 24 Steam reviews split almost evenly, 11 positive and 13 negative. Fans call the puzzles diverse and fair, from code hunts to mechanical tricks, a poem puzzle and a climbing wall, and several rate it among the better VR escape rooms. Most report finishing all three rooms in two to three hours.
The controls are the main problem. Many players found the teleport turning awkward, since you often land facing the wrong way, and reported odd hand angles, fiddly small objects and movement that flips into smooth locomotion and causes nausea. Others hit a stuck padlock and there is no save system. Buy on sale if you tolerate clunky VR controls; skip it if you get motion sick.

Escape Room VR: Stories is a game based on the popular real-life escape rooms. It uses VR capabilities to its full potential. The locations are full of objects that players can interact with, the environment is very realistic and detailed. Each room has it own plot that combines together into one story. Every location has three different endings which depend on the player's success in unravelling their secrets. The plot is presented to the player through graphic novel cutscenes.
You'll be playing as two different characters put in quite difficult predicaments. You'll have only 30 minutes to find your way out of each room. Every location offers a different variety of puzzles and riddles which will test your logical thinking, wittiness and even dexterity at times. On your way to solving the mystery and revealing the full story, you'll get entangled in the white collar crimes of the financial world in Dirty Money. Next, you will have to pass the final trial of the notorious fraternity only to find yourself in a seemingly hopeless situation in Mad Kidnapper. Good luck!Features
