In Sink from Clock Out Games is a two-player online co-op puzzle game. After a shipwreck, two players travel through portals into a series of escape rooms, from a hidden pirate ship to an art museum and a train that ignores physics. Puzzles use shapes, colours and numbers instead of text, and each player often sees what the other needs. It suits couples and friend duos who want a co-op night built on talking things through.
Players rate it Very Positive, with about 89 percent of 751 reviews recommending it. Reviewers call the puzzles clever and well themed, and many played it with a partner and enjoyed sharpening their communication. Several say it offers more content than the price suggests.
Complaints focus on a few areas. The two later bonus levels added timers and lives, which some found a poor fit for an escape game, and some players saw frame drops there. Others note that finding the puzzle pieces can be harder than solving them, and a handful of puzzles or hints are obtuse. Neither player can go solo. For a duo it is an easy recommendation at full price; solo players should look elsewhere.
Pros
- Asymmetric co-op where each player holds the other's clues
- Language-free, colourblind-friendly puzzle design
- Varied worlds from pirate ship to physics-bending train
Cons
- Later bonus levels add timers and lives that players dislike
- Finding puzzle pieces can be harder than solving them
- Frame drops reported in the final levels
