United Heist: Facility Zero
Our verdict
7/10

United Heist: Facility Zero is an online co-op puzzle game for exactly two players. One player breaks into a secret bunker while the other watches from an observation office, and the only link between them is a walkie-talkie with built-in voice chat. It is a sequel to United Heist and suits pairs who enjoyed the We Were Here games.
The evidence is thin: nine Steam reviews, eight positive, and two of those come from playtesters. Players say the puzzles use the split setup well, with each side holding information or items the other needs. One pair finished without hints and said every puzzle was solvable. Several reviewers call it a clear step up from the first game, and most report four to seven hours of play.
On the downside, reviewers mention some jank and a few puzzles that were hard to read, and the one negative review complains about glitches. You also need a partner who owns the game and is willing to talk the whole way through. At its modest price, it is a fair buy for a co-op evening or two.
Pros
- Bunker and observation office split makes every puzzle need both players
- Walkie-talkie voice chat built in, no extra software needed
- Players call it a big step up from the first United Heist
Cons
- Requires two players online; no solo option
- Some jank and glitches, and a few puzzles are hard to read
