Unwanted Experiment is a short point and click escape room game, the second chapter of Dark Dome's Hidden Town series. A scientist has kidnapped you and locked you in his laboratory, and you have to escape before he returns. The twist is that you control two characters who help each other, passing items and solving puzzles from both sides. It suits solo players who like bite-sized, mobile-style escape games.
With 14 Steam reviews, 12 positive, the evidence is thin. Players who have followed Dark Dome since its mobile releases say the games are well worth it and enjoy spotting the links between entries, which can be played in any order. One found it had more puzzles than the earlier The Girl in the Window.
The main complaint is logic: one reviewer could not see why an origami fish or a seed would be the right solution to a puzzle. It is also short, about an hour. At its very low price it is a fine snack for escape room fans, especially if you plan to play the whole series.
