Escape Machine City: Airborne is a first-person 3D escape game from Big Loop Studios. A flying city has gone silent for two days and seems to be steering itself, and you are one of the pilots sent to find out why. It plays as a series of escape-room scenes with a steampunk look. It suits solo players after a cheap, short puzzle break.
Players rate it Very Positive, with about 88 percent of 89 reviews in favour. Only one written review was available to us, and it calls the game short, simple and fun. Player tags back that up: Puzzle, Hidden Object, Logic and Point & Click lead the list, along with Steampunk and Casual, which points to a relaxed escape room rather than a tough one.
The limits are mostly objective. Players typically play about an hour and a half, it is single-player only, and the store text gives little detail beyond the setup. At its very low price it is an easy pick for escape-room fans; anyone wanting a long story or hard puzzles should look elsewhere.
Pros
- Steampunk flying city setting for a 3D escape room
- Mix of logic puzzles and hidden-object searching
- Very low price for a short evening of puzzles
Cons
- About an hour and a half of play, judging by players' playtime
- Few written reviews to judge puzzle quality in depth
- Simple puzzles, per the one written review and the Casual tag
