SOTANO is a first-person escape adventure set in a large old house. Your car runs out of fuel in a quiet village, you knock on a door for help, and you wake up in the basement with a note from the owner. From there you search rooms, collect items and solve riddles to work your way out. It suits solo players who like a traditional item-and-lock escape house.
About 74% of 38 Steam reviews are positive. Players who wrote reviews call the puzzles decent to great and the game bug-free, and most spent four to five hours on it.
The recurring complaint is clarity. Several reviewers hit puzzles where it was unclear what was being asked, and there is no hint system, so they ended up using an online walkthrough.
