Escape Simulator from Pine Studio is a first-person escape room collection you can play solo or in online co-op, with optional VR support. The base game holds 28 rooms grouped into themed packs, such as an Egyptian labyrinth, a damaged spaceship and a Victorian mansion, and almost every object can be picked up, moved or smashed. A level editor and Steam Workshop add thousands of community rooms. It suits both solo puzzlers and friends looking for a regular co-op night.
Players love it: about 95 percent of over 10,000 English reviews are positive. Reviewers praise the variety between rooms, a mix of quick 15-minute rooms and longer ones, and how well it works as a date night or friend-group game. Many keep playing for dozens of hours thanks to the workshop.
