Mad Experiments: Escape Room is a first-person escape game for one to six players in online co-op, with cross-platform play. Three chapters follow your capture by Professor Cheshire and his assistant Hildegarde: a mansion lab, a coma memory sequence and Hildegarde's childhood bedroom. Each room has a 60-minute timer, or you can switch to Relax mode with no limit. It suits friend groups who want a short virtual escape-room night.
Reception is Mixed, with about 70 percent of 327 reviews positive. Players tag it as atmospheric, surreal and team-based, and the chapters come with hidden-object searching. The one detailed review we found is negative: its writer found the opening puzzles either trivial, such as counting light fixtures, or unclear, with a door code guessed from a stand-out line of text rather than worked out.
With limited written feedback, the safest read is that the setup and co-op support are good but the puzzle quality is uneven. Expect around three hours, one room per chapter. Get it on sale for a casual group session; seasoned escape-room players wanting tight logic should try stronger games first.
Pros
- Online co-op for up to six with cross-platform play
- Choice of a 60-minute timer or untimed Relax mode
- Three themed chapters tied to a mad-scientist story
Cons
- Puzzles can be trivial, such as simply counting objects
- Some clues are vague, so answers feel guessed
- Short, at roughly one hour per chapter

Our Review
MEER is a visually very well crafted game. The different chapters each have their own signature and feature completely different puzzles. Good for both bigger groups of friends who want to solve puzzles together, as well as for the individual. Some of the puzzles can be a bit far-fetched, maybe that's just me, but the overall experience is definitely very good! Definitely recommended to play!
