Cold As Ice is a paid DLC room for Tales of Escape, OnSkull's co-op escape room platform. You and your friends wake up locked in an old UK butcher's shop whose elderly owners have vanished, and must find the emergency exit before whoever locked you in comes back. It is aimed at groups who already own the base game, often in VR.
It is the weakest-received room in the series: only 8 of 25 Steam reviews are positive. Several players finished in 15 to 50 minutes. Fans liked the decoy items that try to mislead you, and one pair called it more thinking-heavy than The Mine.
The complaints pile up. Reviewers report puzzles that swing from trivial to baffling even with hints, wonky physics with objects falling through lids, colours that are hard to tell apart, and frame rate problems on some headsets. Many feel the price is too high for such a short room. Only for completionists who want every Tales of Escape room; everyone else should pick another DLC.
